Idris Karipap at Tanjung Tokong, Penang

We are back with more snacks! Sometimes in the noon (being a typical Penang person), we would crave for laksa, or ice kacang, or banana leaf rice, or pasembur, or rojak, or kuih-muihs, and sometimes we crave for karipap (aka curry puff, Malaysian style).

And because these little cravings are indeed very important, we would drive all the way up north to Tanjung Tokong just to get our hands on the ever yummy karipap that's by the road side.

We are really dedicated food bloggers, you see. or maybe we're just really in love with eating. and food makes us happy, no doubt :)

He loves kuihs. Like love love kuih. That explains his surname ('koay'). Muahaha. So, anyways, he was like a boy who found his long lost toys or something the moment he lays his eyes on these. Not only karipap, all kinds of traditional Maly kuihs are available. Madness of Kuihs!

 Karipap - RM0.60
(Chicken/beef)
He says: Walah! Something you people should try! At only 60 cents each, you get to taste the crispy and hot currypuff.. I would opt for the 'daging' karipap rather than chicken though =) Snack up peeps! =D
She says: Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. That's what karipap should be, right? Idris's karipaps are like that. Somemore they are not too spicy or totally bland. Chun-chun taste I would say.The beef (daging) is my favorite one! No doubt a good snack :)
