I Mum Mum Pan Mee at Pengkalan Weld (Weld Quay), Penang

Pan mee on a sunny afternoon!

Go on either weekdays or weekends during lunch time, and you'll find yourself having to wait a while for table and also for your food to come.

For our visit this time at Weld Quay's branch (they have another shop at One Precinct), they took quite a long time to serve ur our orders. We actually had to remind them couple of times. Hmmph. What a start to a good lunch.

Their menu is pretty simple and straightforward.

Spicy Pan Mee (small) - RM3.40
Thin style pan mee with minced pork, fried crispy anchovies, pork balls and their hot chilli with lime.
He says: Yum yum! nyiam nyiam! biam biam! or whatever.. this one tastes good!
She says: The chilli is indeed the bomb! Mix it all well together and quite yummy. I quite like this one.

Crispy Pork Pan Mee (small) - RM4.00
He says: The crispy pork is nice. 'Garing outside and soft inside'.
She says: The pan mee itself is pretty okay with the normal sauce. The crispy pork is delicious! So tender and juicy. I love it!

Egg Vegetable Soup - RM1.80
He says: Pretty good :)
She says: Love the leaf-like-vegetables. The soup tasted like normal chicken-cube-infused. I don't know. It tasted very normal and quite bland. It was okay-okay kind of soup.

Deep Fried Dumpling - RM0.80 per piece
He says: Haha. Krispiii!
She says: Just a normal dumpling. Nothing special.

  1. This place serves good pan mee but don't bother to visit their outlet at One Precinct, it was horrible, noodles not thoroughly cooked, bad service and a hair found in my soup :x
